EXPLORING EXPLORERS

This ongoing series wants to listen, learn and attempt to explore worlds differently
while also  reflecting the past, oneself, the use of media and the images
Arctic expeditions have brought back to Europe.

Photography was an important tool for explorers and for colonisers,
‘It has penetrated the most remote parts of the world. It helped to conquer,
gain territory and take possession of it’, Pia Arke* 2003
